At HomebiteCake, we take pride in baking every item fresh from scratch using the highest quality ingredients in a Satvik home kitchen. Since our products are perishable food items, our Refund and Cancellation policies are designed to maintain hygiene and fairness.
Cancellation Policy
Since we bake only on order, we start preparing ingredients hours before the delivery time.
Cancellations 24 Hours Prior: If you cancel your order at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time, we will refund 100% of the amount.
Same Day Cancellation: If you cancel on the day of delivery or after we have started the baking process, NO refund will be provided, as the ingredients and labor have already been utilized.
Returns Policy
Due to hygiene standards and the perishable nature of cakes and cookies, we do not accept returns of any food items once delivered.
⚠️ Important – Check Before Accepting: Please inspect your package carefully at the time of delivery (before the delivery partner leaves) If you suspect any major damage, please inform the delivery partner and us immediately.
Refund Policy (When do we give money back?)
Resolution Policy (Damaged / Wrong / Missing Items)
We treat our customers like family and strive for perfection. However, in the rare event of an issue, we believe in resolving it through mutual understanding and discussion.
If you face any of the following issues, please contact us immediately:
Damaged Item: If the cake is smashed or significantly damaged during transit.
Wrong Item: If you received a completely different product than what you ordered.
Missing Item: If a part of your order is missing.
How we resolve it
Instead of an automatic refund, we request you to Call or WhatsApp us immediately with a photo/video of the issue.
We will verify the issue and discuss it with you personally.
Based on the situation and mutual agreement, we will offer a fair solution, which may include a replacement, a discount coupon for next time, or a partial/full refund depending on the extent of the issue.
Reporting Time : You must inform us within 2 hours of receiving the delivery. Complaints raised after 2 hours will not be entertained as food items require proper storage.
Exclusions (When NO Refund/Replacement is provided)
To maintain fairness, we DO NOT offer refunds or replacements in the following cases:
Taste Preference: (e.g., “I didn’t like the taste” or “It is less sweet”). Taste is subjective, and we bake according to standard home recipes.
Natural Appearance: Our cakes are handmade and preservative-free.
Cracks on Top: Banana Walnut and Fruit Cakes often have natural cracks on top. This is a sign of a perfectly baked homemade cake, not a defect.
Slight Design Variations: Since it is handcrafted, slight variations from the website photo are natural.
Improper Storage: If the cake spoils or dries out because it was not stored correctly (e.g., kept in direct sunlight or left open without a lid) by the customer.
Wrong Address / Unavailability: If the delivery fails because you provided the wrong address, wrong phone number, or were not available to receive the order. (In such cases, no refund is given as the fresh item cannot be resold).
Minor Transit Movement: If cookies or toppings shift slightly during bike delivery (which does not affect the taste or hygiene).
